What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Trying to be extravagant no matter what.

Please describe your style in three words.

Ironic, bold, and sharp.

Do you believe in role models?

No, I'm just fascinated by people.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Cashmere, cotton piqué and poplin.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

I don't really like it when you are only dressing to impress people.

Which city has the best-dressed men?

Paris! The men there are always chic.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Absolutely bold!

What are the rules in the way you dress?

I always try to wear just one strong piece with each outfit.

Celebrities and style...

It's something that might work, however it's rare.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Jackets!

A man should always look like...

He is confident with what he is wearing.

Who taught you what you know about style?

By watching television and reading magazines.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

I think about my day ahead, and try to create an outfit that can work from early in the morning to late at night.

What is your biggest regret?

Throwing away my Calvin Klein logo T-shirt.

The three essential things a man should know about style are...

Always dress like a man. Know the difference between being elegant and being formal. If you don't try too hard to be stylish, then you get it.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I do most of my shopping alone.

We will never see you wearing...

Sandals without socks, men's feet are gross!

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

Hands are very important, you can tell a lot about someone by looking at his hands.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

A scene with Alicia Silverstone in her wardrobe in the film Clueless.

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...

His shirt, try to find the perfect one.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

A T-shirt with Britney Spears shaving her head that says “Punk is not dead”.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

As Anna Dello Russo says: if you feel comfortable you will never get the look. It's so true!

Which designer never fails to impress you?

None, failed expectations are part of the game.

Who would you like to recommend for My Style?

Francesco Casarotto and Fabio Messana.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

If it's too good to be true then it probably isn't!
