Are there any style combinations that you object to?

No, fashion is best when it’s raw and real.

Please describe your style in three words.

Expensive, cheap, and tragic.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Not getting overdressed… it’s always better to arrive somewhere and look like you’re going someplace better later.

Do you believe in role models?

No, but I do believe in supermodels.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Polyester twill, stretch cashmere, and leather.

Which city has the best-dressed men?

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Neither, I would say I’m daring.

What are the rules in the way you dress?

Don’t forget the jewellery and more is more.

Celebrities and style...

Is boring.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Jewellery, jewellery, jewellery.

A man should always look like...

A man.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My inner demons.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

Based on the weather.

What is your biggest regret?

I don’t have one.

The three essential things a man should know about style are...

The perfect fit of a shirt, a pair of trousers and a jacket. Polish your shoes. Groom your hands.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I shop early in the morning online and when I’m in a store I don’t try it on, I bring it home and try it on there.

We will never see you wearing...

Capri pants and sandals.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

Some guy on the subway.

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

His hands.

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...

His jacket.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My first Rick Owens leather jacket, my Givenchy bespoke tuxedo, my Piaget diamond Sheika watch.

Which fashion house never fails to impress you?

Prada menswear. I always love the shoes, but never the clothes.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not anymore thanks to Rick Owens.

Who would you like to recommend for €œMy Style€?

Mckenzie Liautaud, jewellery designer.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

Don’t wear it the same way twice.
