The three essential things a man should know about style are...

Camouflage is a colourway, Pitti Uomo is where to get your eye trained, and embrace your aesthetics (whether it's relaxed or tailored.)

Please describe your style in three words.

Not very good.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Forgetting your cell phone.

Do you believe in role models?

Yes. I look up to many peers in our industry. When I was younger, I looked up to Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, John Starks, and Anthony Mason.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Alligator, cashmere, leather, linen, and suede.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

If something is not of my taste, then that does not make it wrong. However, I will still laugh at you.

Which city has the best-dressed men?

Florence and Milan. Italian men consult their tailors before making a wardrobe purchase. Brilliant.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

A hybrid.

What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

I like to look cool. I usually do not succeed.

One garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Trench coats.

A man should always look like...

Milan Vukmirovic. Masculine effortless elegance at its best.

Who taught you what you know about style?

GQ Magazine was my foundation. My friends in the industry have been instrumental as well.

Your biggest regret is...

Not living in Bloomington, IN at Indiana University. I miss college.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

Yes. Spending money.

We will never see you wearing...

Skinny jeans.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

Eugene Tong, Josh Peskowitz, Milan Vukmirovic, Nickelson Wooster.

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

How you present yourself gives off a message. So, the answer is their vibe.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

Lapo Elkann cruising on a speed boat at night on the Italian Riviera in a white dinner jacket, fedora, and a cigar in his mouth.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Loaded question. Check out the Grungy Gentleman and find out.

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...

I pay attention to everything. Blazers, shirts, pants, shoes, accessories, etc. Everything is important.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My sister Brielle bought me these Nike running shoes. They happen to be extremely comfortable and the black colourway looks dope. But then again, anything she would have gotten me, I would have loved.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Absolutely not. I value comfort more than anything.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

In America, Michael Bastian. In Europe, Brunello Cucinelli, Dries Van Noten, Ermenegildo Zegna, Isaia, Junya Watanabe, and Thom Browne.

Who would you like to see next in My Style€?

Matthew Chevallard of Del Toro and Michael Saiger of Miansai.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

"Fuck the frail shit" — Jadakiss
