Which city has the best-dressed men?

Still Milan, but I’m hoping London will step up their game as I see they have potential.

Please describe your style in three words.

Green, blue, and brown.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Wearing clothes that are too big.

Do you believe in role models?

Yes, for inspiration—but you should get your own style.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Everything that is light and soft.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

No, I tend to change my opinion often.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

I would not say that I am one or the other. For me, it is crucial to always strike a balance between these two.

What are the rules in the way you dress?

I strive to renew myself and my style. That being said, I rarely leave the house without clean shoes or a hankie in the front chest pocket.

Celebrities and style…

Used to be more synonymous than it is now.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Shirts.

A man should always look like…

He didn’t try too hard.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My father had a great sense of style. With that being said, I'm learning something new every day!

How do you select your clothing every morning?

There is no mystery to how I choose my clothes in the morning. I don’t follow a formula but I usually choose my combinations based on the weather and my mood that morning.

What is your biggest regret?

Where do you want me to start from?

The three essential things a man should know about style?

Shape, fit, and length!

Do you have any shopping rituals?

No!

We will never see you wearing...

A denim jacket!

The most stylish person you have ever seen…

It's a very close tie between my two friends Yasuto Kamoshita and Pierangelo d'Agostin.

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

The shape of his outfit.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

L'Uomo Vogue issues from the 70's and 80's.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

I try to follow brands and people that honour craftsmanship.

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is…

There is a book named 'Dressing the man'…buy it!

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My suits, shoes, and shirts…it's too hard to pick just one!

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not at all. Looking like you are uncomfortable is rarely stylish.

Who would you like to recommend for My Style?

Yasuto Kamoshita of Camoshita United Arrows.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

Don't try too hard!
