What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

Only one leopard or shiny item per day. (I am tranny-like in my thirst for shiny metallic/sequins, and Kardashian-esque in my love of leopard, so I have to dress in one of said items before I leave my house for the day.

Please describe your style in three words.

Utilitarian/efficient, tranny-like, clashy casual.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Most importantly, wearing something that makes you uncomfortable, whether itchy, or you feel out of place for the event or day you are supposed to have. Clothing is supposed to complement, not be a hindrance.

Do you believe in role models?

Yes, but it’s also important to believe in your own sense of style, and don't get too style derivative.

What are your favourite fabrics?

I am really into texture and how good a fabric feels, fabrics that are not itchy and that feel good to the touch. I am really tactile.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Brown and black.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

New York, Tokyo.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Both.

A woman should always look like...

She is comfortable.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My mom.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

By my mood and what is currently clean!

Your biggest regret is...

Losing my Burberry Boys 12 raincoat, fitted with three-quarter sleeves (secured when I did the windows of Burberry), and my Moschino runway cape. :(

The three essential things a woman should know about style are...

Themselves, their mother, and their bank account.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I like pregaming online so I know what to beeline for.

We will never see you wearing...

Double-breasted or padded shoulders.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Can't say, as there is always something new.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

My friend Jane Kirby, hands down.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Their comfort level.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

A leopard pony trench, a sequined Miu Miu doctor's bag.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

New York designers — they are the hardest-working people in the industry and must be everything to everyone — I admire all of them.

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is...

Their bag in New York City. Daydreaming on the subway=handbag handles getting cut=getting mugged.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

No, quite the opposite.

Who would you like to see next in €œMy Style?

Timo Weiland. I just did a runway collaboration with him.

The best word of advice you have ever heard?

“Yes! Definitely!”
