How do you select your clothing every morning?

If I don't plan the night before, then in a very haphazard ‘that looked good last time/that could work’ way.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

Milan.

Please describe your style in three words.

Accessorised, polished, unpredictable.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Wearing something you’re not sure is really 'you' and doubting yourself the whole day.

Do you believe in role models?

Definitely. For me, successful entrepreneurs inspire me every day whilst I look to street style blogs like Facehunter or Jak & Jil for fashion inspiration.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Silk-chiffon, cashmere and nylon (joking about the last one, although I do like the magazine).

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Tracksuits and high heels are never a good thing.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Conservatively bold.

What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

Any outfit isn't finished without jewellery.

A woman should always look like...

She is confident and happy.

Who taught you what you know about style?

Stylists, models and my best friend Piers (Pret-a-piers.com).

Your biggest regret is...

Life is too short for sartorial regrets.

The three essential things a woman should know about style are...

A good jacket(s) will solve everything; jewellery makes you stand out up close; if you’re confident in what you’re wearing, it will look a hundred times better.

We will never see you wearing...

I feel like whatever I answer here I will end up wearing, so I’m going to go with… nothing.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

Grace Kelly, Leith Clark, and Hanneli Mustaparta.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her jewellery.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Depends on the context. At Fashion Week, yes; on a beach in the Maldives, no.

The best word of advice you have ever heard?

“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.” — Salvador Dali.
