What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

There are no rules. Fashion is here to play with! Just make it fit. And if it turns out to be a huge mistake, learn from it and just don’t do it again.

Please describe your style in three words.

Playful, experimental, and colourful.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Having logos on your clothes. It’s much cooler when people don’t know what you’re wearing, even if they work in the fashion industry. On the other side, mistakes are here to learn from. Oh, and please don’t wear fake. Be the type of guy who’d rather have a real Topman than a fake Prada.

Do you believe in role models?

Somehow we all have a type of guy in our minds who we want to be. So yeah, I believe in role models, even if it’s someone who doesn’t exist.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Denim, cashmere, and leather.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Every combination is possible, as long as it fits! That’s what fashion is about. Playing!

Which city has the best-dressed men?

Capri and Milan.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

I’m in-between.

Celebrities and style...

Some have it; some don’t.

One garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Socks and plain white T’s.

A man should always look...

Confident about himself.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I actually don’t like shopping. I’m more that type of guy who needs a goal. So if I see or need something, I just like to walk in the store, buy it, and get the hell out of there.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My mistakes. I’ve made some horrible fashion choices in the past. But like I said before, mistakes are here to learn from. At the end of the road, my mistakes were the ones that helped me evolve into the way I dress now.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

When it’s winter I pick my clothes in the evening. I snooze a lot so I actually never have time to select my clothes in the morning. At this point, I’m very happy that I can find the time to take a shower in the morning.

The three essential things a man should know about style are...

Fit, confidence, and did I say fit?

We will never see you wearing...

I don’t really like the word “never.” I mean 50 years ago, who would’ve thought that camouflage and military stuff would be a trend? Anyhow, to answer the question, I try to avoid heels, leather pants, and Speedos.

The most stylish person you have ever seen...

Milan Vukmirovic.

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

His shoes.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

None.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Not exactly a new guy. But I do admire Haider Ackermann. He just seems to understand the body and how to flatter it. I also like Dutch designer Edwin Oudshoorn. The guy makes some amazing couture!

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...

The overall quality of the items he wears.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My Céline men’s tote and my Rolex and Cartier watches which I got for my 24th and 25th birthdays.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Definitely not. But if you don’t understand when and how to use it, it can also bite you in the ass.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

Prada, Lanvin, and Balmain.

Who would you like to see next in My Style€?

Nick Wooster, Natalie Joos, Marcelo Burlon or Esther Muller of Le Choix Trois.

The best word of advice you have ever heard?

Just go for it!
