The most stylish person you have ever seen...

It's a toss up between Lapo Elkann and Pharell Williams. I just think that each has a very iconic style that I admire a lot.

Please describe your style in three words.

Classic, yet fresh.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Being concerned with "trends" and what people think or will judge you for what you are wearing. Individuality to me is the most important in style.

Do you believe in role models?

Of course. Everyone should always have people who influence and inspire them. It is important to take your favourite aspects from the style of your role models and integrate them into your own.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Cashmere, suede, and linen.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Not particularly. I detest flip flops and bow ties—aside from that I'm pretty game for anything.

Which city has the best-dressed men?

Milan, hands down.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

I'd say more on the bold side but still very Italian classic.

What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

No rules. Comfort is important and being unique.

Celebrities and style...

Have a huge significance on forming trends and what people like to wear.

One garment /accessory that you can never have enough of?

Shoes… but I am an accessory freak—always have been—so I am mad for all accessories.

A man should always look like...

Himself, with his own form of style. Iconic.

Who taught you what you know about style?

I had a lot of influences but inherently my father who is the classic dapper Italian gentleman.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

I start with the the shoes and then build my outfit based on those.

What is your biggest regret?

I never have regrets because I always try to live life to the fullest. If I have to say something, then not capitalising enough on current momentum.

The three essential things a man should know about style are...

Be yourself, don't give a damn what people think about you, and be comfortable.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

Other than always trying to buy stuff on vacation, not really. I love mementos and there are no better than articles of clothing and accessories from traveling.

We will never see you wearing...

Flip flops.

What is the first thing you notice on a man?

Their shoes and watch.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Well not necessarily new but some of my favourites are Simon Spurr, Visvim, and Brunello Cucinelli.

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...

His shoes.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

All of my accessories. Shoes and watches in particular.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not at all, I always make sure I am comfortable.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

Visvim and Brunello Cucinelli.

Who would you like to see next in My Style€?

Michael Saiger and Camilo Rios.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

If you build it they will come.
