What are the rules in the way you dress?

I am petite. Because of that, I’m very careful about the proportions. Even if they are very fashionable, I won’t wear clothes that do not flatter my figure.

Please describe your style in three words.

Feminine, discreet, modern.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

To dress for others and not for yourself.

Do you believe in role models?

I believe my parents are the main role models in my life.

What are your favourite fabrics?

Silk, cotton, and wool.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

No. The way you dress is the way in which you communicate with the world.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

Scandinavian women have a great approach to fashion.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Conservative. I love good tailoring and thoughtful details.

Celebrities and style...

Are millions of light years away from my taste.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Dresses.

A woman should always look like...

She believes in herself.

Who taught you what you know about style?

The people around me, along with my husband. He has a good eye for everything beautiful and has innate taste.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

I select my wardrobe just before I go to sleep. First, I choose whether to wear pants, dress or skirt. The rest falls together by itself.

What is your biggest regret?

Non, je ne regrette rien. :)

The three essential things a woman should know about style are...

Fashion is fun, so don’t take it too seriously. Be true to yourself. Less is more.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I do my shopping mostly online. I know exactly what I like and what I want.

We will never see you wearing...

Something with sequins.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

A young Slovenian designer named Peter Movrin, because he is true to his vision and to himself.

Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?

Audrey Hepburn.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her hair and her smile.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

An Yves Saint Laurent ring that I bought myself in order to mark my forty years.

The one image that defined your approach to style...

An image of Martha Graham in her own clothes.

Which fashion house never fails to impress you?

Céline.

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is...

Her shoes.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

No. With a thoughtful selection of comfortable materials this should not be a problem.

Who would you like to recommend for €œMy Style€?

I would recommend my dear friend Ursa Jerkic, a publicist, fashion journalist and clever mind. I adore her style.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

Be careful what you wish for, you may receive it.
