Please describe your style in three words.

Me doing me.

Having self-doubt.

Do you believe in role models?

Yes, for everything!

What are your favourite fabrics?

Cotton, linen, cashmere and denim.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Too much perfume.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

I wish I could think of somewhere less obvious than Paris. I need to travel more!

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Conservative, but not serious.

What are the rules in the way you dress?

Something old, something new.

Celebrities and style...

I miss the '90s when they didn't have stylists.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Vintage white tee shirts.

A woman should always look like…

Herself.

Who taught you what you know about style?

Spirited women and some cool guys too.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

I usually have an outfit vision in the shower and go with that.

What is your biggest regret?

I think of them more as lessons than regrets.

The three essential things a woman should know about style are…

Attitude, energy and balance.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I don't buy something if I feel any hesitation.

We will never see you wearing…

Too much makeup.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Maryam Nassir Zadeh! She has an amazing eye and a true gift for colour. Her collections are beautiful and her shoes are perfect. She creates and curates a world I want to live in.

Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?

My husband has real style.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her realness.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

Irreplaceable and pulverised tee shirts, sweatshirts and nightgowns.

The one image that defined your approach to style…

Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road left a deep and lasting impression.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

Dries Van Noten.

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is…

Her undies.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

Not at all! Being comfortable in yourself is style.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

Proceed.
