What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Wearing black tone-on-tone or taking fashion trends too literally; creativity is a must.

Please describe your style in three words.

Colourful, unconventional, sophisticated.

Do you believe in role models?

Yes I do, as they are a source of inspiration in every field.

What are your favourite fabrics?

At the moment? Perforated leather, Maltese crochet, python, tweed, and felt.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Black on black.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

Milan and Hong Kong.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Bold.

What are the rules in the way you dress?

I don't really have rules. It all comes down to the mood of the day and choosing something that's unexpected.

Celebrities and style...

Need help. And they should be less scripted—the French could use more glamour I think.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Bags and shoes for sure.

A woman should always look like…

She is effortlessly chic.

Who taught you what you know about style?

My grandmother and the movies I watched.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

I start with the one piece I NEED to wear that day, for example a skirt or a bag. That's the building block, the foundation of my outfit.

What is your biggest regret?

Not buying a red crocodile Hermès Kelly bag from someone when I had the opportunity!

The three essential things a woman should know about style are…

Dress for yourself, have fun, and be daring.

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I am fortunate enough to work with the Webster Miami...it is a huge part of my shopping rituals. I also go shopping when I'm traveling and I have a thing for vintage clothing.

We will never see you wearing...

Flip flops.

Which new designers do you follow and why?

Simone Rocha, AMI, and Aurélie Bidermann for jewellery.

Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?

Laure Heriard Dubreuil and Claudia Cardinale.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her hair, jewellery, and shoes.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

Hermès bags, Eres swimwear, a Céline white crocodile jacket, a Chanel 255 navy bag...I'm mentioning all these items because they are truly timeless!

The one image that defined your approach to style...

That would be a gypster traveler in Pondichéry.

Which fashion house never fails to impress you?

Valentino, Marni, Proenza Schouler, and Miu Miu.

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is…

Her lingerie.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

No, it's not. But sadly, for me, comfort is irrelevant. With the exception of shoes, when you are dressing with comfort in mind the results can be dull—as all women know. With that being said, feeling comfortable in what you are wearing is sexy.

Who would you like to recommend for My Style?

Amy Focazio, Elizabeth Holder, and Natasha Esch.
