I don’t like sticking to any rules, I like experimenting — that’s the best way of coming up with new design and outfit ideas!

Feminine, chic, colourful.
Q: What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
Not dressing for your figure.
Q: Do you believe in role models?
Yes, one-hundred percent.
Q: What are your favourite fabrics?
Silks.
Q: Which city has the best-dressed women?
It depends what you define as ‘best-dressed’ but I’d say the women in Paris and Milan are immaculately turned out.
Q: Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
Bold.
Q: What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?
Dress for your mood.
Q: Celebrities and style…
It’s tricky but there are certain celebrities that have natural style and you can spot this instantly.
Q: One garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?
Bags, bags, bags!
Q: A woman should always look like…
She wants to make an impression.
Q: Who taught you what you know about style?
My family and shopping!
Q: How do you select your clothing every morning?
I normally have an urge to wear a certain piece and then build an outfit around that item.
Q: What is your biggest regret?
No regrets, you are what you are because of who you have been…cringe but true!
Q: The three essential things a woman should know about style are…
You can’t buy style, don’t be afraid of colour/print and invest in one amazing piece as opposed to five mediocre pieces.
Q: Do you have any shopping rituals?
Not really, I use shopping as research to see what’s out there — I love to look! When I go shopping I normally go with a list of what I need/want otherwise I have been known to let my credit card spiral out of control!

Q: Which new designers do you admire and why?
I follow all new designers, it is part of being a fashion designer. I’m a fan of a newish label called Never Fully Dressed that I recently discovered at LFWeekend.
Q: Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?
Without a shadow of a doubt my grandmas.
Q: What is the first thing you notice on a woman?
Her outfit combination.
Q: What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?
Zac Posen gown, J Brands (the only jeans/trousers I wear), Brick Print T-shirt.

Prada and Marni. Female fashion designers are rocking it right now!

Jeans — it’s worth the investment.

Yes and no. I think you can have both.
