Q: What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?

No rules but only using black, white, grey and navy.

Q: Please describe your style in three words.

Chic, conservative, contemporary.

Q: What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Not knowing what looks good on oneself.

Q: Do you believe in role models?

No.

Q: What are your favorite fabrics?

Cashmere, denim, cotton.

Q: Are there any style combinations that you object to?

SO many!!!

Q: Which city has the best-dressed men?

Milan.

Q: Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Conservative.

Q: Celebrities and style…

Sometimes an oxymoron.

Q: One garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Shoes.

Q: A man should always look…

Elegant!

Q: Who taught you what you know about style?

No one really…[just] observing.

Q: How do you select your clothing every morning?

My options are limited: black jeans, black jacket, black shoes and either a white, black or grey shirt!

Q: Your biggest regret is…

I don’t live in the past so I don’t have any!

Q: The three essential things a man should know about style are…

1) Shoes, ties and fragrances say who you are: invest in them!
2) Never wear white socks.
3) Dress according to your body type.

Q: Do you have any shopping rituals?

Not really; I just have my favorite shopping places.

Q: We will never see you wearing…

A lot of things! Loud colors and current trends.

Q: The most stylish person you have ever met…

My grandfather, Kilian Hennessy.

Q: What is the first thing you notice on a man?

His allure.

Q: The one image that defined your approach to style…

Sean Connery playing at the casino in “Dr. No,” the first James Bond film.

Tom Ford and Riccardo Tisci.

Q: The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is…

His shoes.

Q: What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My Berluti collection.

Not at all!

You have to feel powerful and sexy in your clothes.
