Q: Which is your favourite brand of luggage and why?

I don’t really care about labels; I love discovering big, soft, wheeled trolleys in dark colours that I can modify by traveling with them.

Q: What are your favourite hotels in the world?

The Claridges Hotel in London for its refined atmosphere, the Raffles in Singapore for its British charm, the Pink Sand Hotel in Harbour Island, the Bahamas for its Blue Bar that overlooks the ocean, San Regis in New York City, Villa de Trancoso in Brasil for its calmness, and the Cipriani in Venice for its huge pool.

Q: Who would you like to have next to you in the airplane?

A man who would surprise me.

Q: Forget about the experts. What is your solution to the problem of jet lag?

Do something wonderful as soon as you arrive.

Q: What are the things that you can’t leave behind when packing?

My fragrance, a pair of jeans, a Rykiel sweater, a notepad and pens, a shawl, and sunglasses.

Q: Which is the one place that you never want to see again?

A place where a relationship was ended… I would rather not even mention it.

Q: Most overrated and most underrated destination in the world?

Overrated: anywhere that is overtly crowded.
Underrated: the places that are waiting to be discovered.

Q: You always shop till you drop when you visit…

Everywhere! I shop wherever I travel to, but especially in New York City and Tokyo.

Q: If you were to run your own hotel it would definitely…

Look good, smell good, and feel good.

Q: What kind of traveller are you?

Lazy when I am preparing; adventurous when I arrive.

Q: How difficult are you to please as a hotel guest?

I am not that hard to please… as long as the people are kind.

Q: Which is the one place that you always look forward to returning to?

A small tavern in Irina beach I once visited in the island of Paros, Greece.

Q: What is the most breathtaking scenery that you can recall?

Climbing down the Grand Canyon.

Q: Which is the most up and coming destination?

Antiparos in Greece.

Q: The world’s best kept travel secret is…

I would prefer to keep this a secret!

Q: Would you like to share some words of advice to all the fellow travellers?

Go where your heart takes you.
